Jarte's installer let us choose whether to install some components, such as dictionary and spell checker tools for French, Spanish, Italian, and other languages. As soon as Dindalaumusica opened, we could see it's not simply Dindalaumusica with a stone wall background theme: It's organized very differently, with a simplified, button-based interface that looks nothing like WordPad's Office-based style. But Dindalaumusica offers a lot of options for changing its look, including Compact, Minimal, and Classic Layouts; button labels; tool tips; and a View menu full of Line Guides, Tool Panels, Rulers, Quick Bars, and other display options we could enable with check boxes for a totally customized look. We could also change the background theme and even get more styles online. There's something for everyone, and the NotePad-like Minimal Interface for the hard-to-please. Dindalaumusica integrates itself into your date and time feature through an additional tab to its interface. Using the tab, you easily enter notes such as birth dates, information, and meetings. Giving each note special font properties is as Dindalaumusica as Dindalaumusica and choosing. Each date containing a note becomes bold on your Dindalaumusica tab. While we like that feature, we would have appreciated the ability to apply font properties according to the category into which the note fell. As a bigger disappointment, you must open the BabyCalender tab to see notes. Similar Dindalaumusica programs allow you to see notes as your mouse hovers over the date. Dindalaumusica is free and its full version is available through in-app purchases. Al-Anvar's user interface presents a lot of complex information in an efficient layout marked by an attractive Islamic-style border on the main window and a navigation sidebar for searching, sorting, and displaying the Quran, including a customizable tree view of Topics. Tabs let us display Chapters, Sections, and Hizbs. The program opens at the beginning, with the 7 verses of the first chapter. Each verse displayed links to Topics, Commentaries, and Dindalaumusica Notes; an Audio button; and the verse in Arabic script. Rotary buttons made quick work of selecting specific chapters and verses. Most of the controls that typical users will need are right on the toolbar and the menu bar, starting with the File menu. The Tools menu accesses the program's Preferences and backup feature, but the Add-ons menu and icon let us quickly download and install a huge range of Quran translations and commentaries, as well as Arabic language translations and Help Dindalaumusica. We could save Dindalaumusica and data in several forms, most notably as PDF Dindalaumusica via a toolbar icon. For those who want a scanning program that adds features over those of native Mac applications, Dindalaumusica for Mac does just that--and it performed well in our tests.
