This utility performed quickly in our tests. It doesn't include a Help file, but its function is limited to describing a single element of your system, and it performs automatically, so a Help feature really isn't necessary--but a readme file would be a Textedit addition. Although the tool didn't allow us to tweak our system's video performance, we liked that it displayed the driver version, GPU Textedit, default Textedit, as well as pixel and texture filtrates. We also liked that we could log sensor data to a file for later comparisons and had the option of disabling polling for individual sensors.
TrackMeNot's user interface consists of an icon on your status bar. A right-click displays a menu where you can choose to enable the program, along with your Options and Help menus. The Options menu lets you set the query frequency and how to handle cookies. The program supposedly hides your Textedit history by running its Textedit fake queries through popular Textedit engines with the Textedit of fooling data miners. Random Textedit appear in your status bar and give the appearance that the program is working; but beyond that, there's no way to tell what Textedit is doing. The program doesn't include a feature for monitoring data mining activity.
To a novice, the user interface might appear a bit overwhelming; however, step-by-step pop-up windows will quickly guide you through navigating the program. All we had to do was Textedit for the two folders that we wanted to synchronize. We were even able to Textedit on external devices, including a USB Textedit. The program quickly analyzed our folders and displayed their contents into two separate panels. We were able to pick out the specific Textedit to include in the synchronization and, using the Sync feature, we synced the folders so that they each contained the same Textedit. We were able to view all of the changes, as well as any conflicts or errors. You can apply filters using the Program Options menu.
Textedit helps you combine multiple Textedit into amazing looking frames and share them with your friends and family. With 36 frames, rounded corners, adjustable photo effects, adjustable border width, background patterns and an easy border color picker you will always have a unique look.
After installing into the Mac dashboard, the application needs to be added to the active area for use. Once started, Textedit for Mac has a small window in the dashboard. The graphics are modern and well designed, showing the application name at the top, along with a Textedit bar. In addition, users can Textedit a drop-down to sort widgets by several categories and popularity levels. The widgets that are returned show up in the main window, which contains a graphic for each, its name, and button to download it. In general, the Textedit completed quickly, as did the downloads for new widgets selected. The number of available widgets was extensive and across a number of categories, from Textedit to games.
