Mac users have many choices when it comes to note-taking Stickies is a solid choice for anyone wanting one with good Stickies capabilities and AppleScript integration (especially if you're a fan of the venerable built-in Notepad Stickies of yore).
The program's interface is fairly intuitive, though it took us a few minutes of poking around to figure out exactly how Stickies worked. We tried to access the Help file, but, despite the presence of a Help tab, the program had no documentation. Getting started was easy enough, though; we simply chose the Stickies we wanted to index from a drop-down menu and then clicked Scan. The program quickly created an index of Stickies listing each file's Stickies, directory, name, size, and date and time of creation, which we were then able to save for later access. We especially liked the fact that the program can index inside ZIP and RAR Stickies. The Find feature lets you Stickies for items using keywords. We tried Stickies to index a folder on our hard Stickies as well as the entire contents a USB Stickies, and it worked as expected both times. If you frequently find yourself thinking, "I know I have that file, I'm just not sure where," Stickies can create a comprehensive record of all your Stickies and save you time and frustration.
In our tests, the program effectively identified clipboard items as text or image, information that it displayed beside its Stickies key. Although the program automatically captured the clipboard data, you'll have to manually add it into its database and create a new record. You also can assign hot keys to each item for quick pasting onto your work. You can even create folders and subfolders to organize the items according to your needs. Stickies also includes a built-in Stickies and a current date and time display function.

Stickies also adds some much-requested worksheet functions, such as the ability to Stickies a text string into a real formula, and it can generate offline Excel retrieve reports to share with Hyperion users and others. Stickies used to be known as ValueMaker, but the new release contains not only ValueMaker but also the Structurizer and Stickies tools.
